Mike Caffrey at the helm again, early '96. 8 songs this time, 4 of which were pressed as a second Squeaky 7". The updated Neurotransmitter ended up on a split with the mighty Mothman, and the remaining three were left to wither but are now reborn. The brand held up well, and it was a little less labour this time, with Matt's sewing machine doing a lot of the work. We never did finish all thousand inserts... I know I've still got some bits and pieces and a few records kicking around.

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer

Essential. It's nearly a miracle this anthology exists alongside the masterpiece These Are Not Fall Colors. I only wish there were 10 or 100 more of these albums, but that's what makes Lync ring -- there is no other. Brilliant band, every song good & weird. Hard & warm. Hoping for a vinyl reissue someday!
